Unlike Jeremy, in Far Far Away by Tom McNeal, if I started hearing voices in my head, I'd be concerned instead of simply welcoming it to converse with. He is kind of an abnormal kid, the odd man out, to begin with so I understand his unperturbed curiosity.

Silence, by: Natasha Preston is so far a great read! Seriously can not put this book down! So this 16 year old girl Oakley has had some horrific troubles in her past that have most likely caused her a lot of emotional trauma. The author so far hasn't come out and directly said what exactly it was. There are multiple hints though ;) . Oakley is an intelligent girl and has a best friend named Cole, an older brother Jasper and her mom. Throughout the story so far she has been skeptical, and wary of her father which leads me to believe whatever event that forced her to feel like she must not say a word to anyone for 11 years; deals with that man. I have my predictions of what has happened and they're most likely not for a person who dislikes heart wrenching stories because in some ways I get this gut feeling this book is one. Oakley's story captured me and I am intrigued to find out if my hope of Cole and/or Jasper can break her walls down and get her to speak again.

You are all three doing a great job with this blog! This is exactly what I am looking for -- a running dialogue about what incredible books we are discovering. As you continue to read the book, you can add further details about characterization or plot without giving away the spoiler alerts. You could maybe talk about setting and how that is affecting the story. You could talk about the point of view and why that may be important to how the story was crafted. With one blog a week, I know you might be talking about the same book twice.

Ever seen a two headed calf? How about the world's longest cat? Ripely's Believe it or Not books will tell you everything that's out of the ordinary. The book talks about different topics depending on which category they go in. One example, there is this lady who is overly obsessed with the color pink, literally everything she owns has to be pink (even her dog). If your into weird, wacky, crazy, or maybe even insane stuff then this is the book for you. If your not into this kind of stuff, then go find and read a book about all of the presidents.

Pretties by Scott Westerfeld is second in the "Uglies" series. It's such a good book! It follows a girl names Tally who lives in a place that when you turn sixteen you get a surgery that makes you "pretty". After the first book and all the dramatic things that happened, Tally finally got her surgery and joined a gang called The Crims. The Crims do reckless things to keep them bubbly. Throughout the book Tally and her boyfriend Zane encounter some troubles and find out it's not great being a pretty.

The book "The Fault In Our Stars by John Green" is an amazing book! So far the mom of hazel thought her dauther was depressed and put her in a support group. Hazel would rather be watching ANTM( america next top model) or reading a book by her favorite author peter van houten. Hazel Grace Lancaster is 16 with tyroid(cancer in the lungs). She has 2 friends named isaac (will soon be blind because of his sugery) and augustas ( osteosarcoma- cancer in the bones) hazel and augustas are going to a movie togeter. This could be a new adventure for the both if them which could really change their perspective of each other.

The book I am reading is "The Fault In Our Stars" by John Green and this book is about a girl named Hazel. She had cancer and her mom thought it would be a good idea to put her in a support group because she thought Hazel was depressed. At the support group she met a boy named Augustus Waters. This is one of her friends which soon turns into a relationship. Hazel was more of a shy person going into the group and once she started to talk she made a new friend and started to hangout with him continuously afterward.

I'm reading "I, Emma Freke" by Elizabeth Atkinson. Emma's main problem is that her name, when you say it slow kind of sounds like "I am a freak." Also she doesn't have any friends and she goes to see the guidance counselor. Whenever she goes to the counselor she skips the rest of the school day and goes home. The saddest part is her teachers don't even realize it.

My book "If I stay" by Gayle Forman is a phenomenal book so far. It is a story told in the viewpoint of Mia, who is a very quiet girl who loves to play the cello. Mia, the main character, starts her day to find out that school has been cancelled due to the recent snowfall. After enjoying breakfast with her family, they all make a group decision to go out for a drive. As the family gets into the car it's a chaotic decision on what music will be played on the car's stereo. Once Mia's choice of music (classical) starts she slowly falls asleep as she listens to Beethoven’s Cello Sonata no. 3.

He got his license by a Cancer perk which means something given to you that u don't exactly earn or need to get out of. anyway, hazel is in the car telling him about her experience when she was in the hospital. Well, they get to his house and hazel meets his parents and share interest. Augustus gives hazel his favorite book " The Prince Of Dawn" and Hazel gives him her favorite book "An Imperial Affliction". The next day on at home hazel is woken up by her exited mother because its Hazels Thirty-Third half birthday! which is on March twenty - ninth and if you want to know what that means them you'll just have to read the book and find out.

The group of divergent finally make it outside of the Wall which surrounds a furteristic version of Chicago. They are picked up by the Bureau of Genetic Manipulations. They take the divergent to their HQ and explain how and why they are divergent. Tris (one of the main characters) finds out her mom actually worked for the BGM and had kept it a complete secret from her family. Because of that tris doesn't know who to trust anymore expect for her true love Four.

I really liked the Divergent series, personally I believe the movie was nothing compared to the book. Tris is a really good character and she adds an exciting twist to the series, and in a sense it's kinda cliche because you know the whole family member keeps a secret, child gets mad, but after that I didn't expect her to trust anyone even Four.

Animorphs is a book series about a group of kids, Jake, Rachel, Cassie, Tobias, and Marco, who gain the ability to morph into any animal they touch. They find out about and evil, mind-controlling species of aliens called the Yeerks. They must stop an invasion of Yeerks before it's too late and before everyone on earth becomes a slave for the Yeerks. Right now I'm only at the part where Tobias learns how to morph, though, but trust me this book series is starting to get interesting.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is such a great book. In the beginning Harry ends up blowing up his aunt so its off to a great start. Getting tired of the Dursleys he leaves and gets picked up by the Knight Bus. The bus drops him off at the Leaky Cauldron where he is greeted by the Minister of Magic. He finds out he isn't punished because a dangerous prisoner, Sirius Black, escaped from Azkaban and is hunting down Harry. Harry reunites with Ron and Hermione, and the three head back to Hogwarts. On the way there some Dementors, enter the train to look for Sirius Black and cause Harry to faint. I'm really excited to read the rest of the series since I have only watched the movies, and enjoyed them all.

So the book Sisters by Danielle Steel is really interesting so far. (Book recommendation from Mom 😊 haha) I am not that far into it but basically there are four sisters who lead very interesting and successful lives. All four moved away from their parents in Connecticut to the big cities of the U.S. (As the back of the book tells me since I have only read about. Candy so far.. ) Candy is a world traveling, knockout model and is definitely well known for her "sass" and her personality. Gives off that almost snotty, stuck up vibe to her, but honestly in my opinion she is a headstrong, confident, "my way or the highway" woman and that is something admirable.

The book If I Stay begins with a tragic event involving Mia Hall and her family. While deciding what radio station they listen to, the Hall family was hit by a semi-truck. Im only a couple of pages into the book but so far its good. They introduce the character Adam but I know very little about him so far. Adam is not a part of the Hall family but Mia seems to talk about him a lot so I can infer this is her boyfriend. The setting I know is during the winter because in the beginning Mia and her siblings are listening to the tv to see whether it snowed enough for them to miss school.

Just finished the first book of "Animorphs". One night Jake found out about a Yeerk Pool that was underneath his school. He warned all of his new friends about the Yeerk Pool and started to come with plans for destroying it. Before they could destroy it, they had to acquire some more powerful morphs of they were going to be able to any damage. After they acquired some new morphs, they waited until it was night to get into the school and find the secret entrance hidden in one of the rooms. Cassis was nowhere to be found, but they eventually found her being dragged by a Controller (a Yeerk controlling a human by force). They eventually freed Cassie and started to fight a bunch of Hork-Bajir (friendly, but being controlled by Yeerks) and Taxxons (non-friendly, work for the Yeerks). Right when everything was under control, Visser Three, leader of the Yeerks, showed up. He tried to KILL the Animorphs, but they got away will minor damage. They were lucky enough to get out of that place alive.

Hazel has always experienced people feeling awkward or self-conscious around her. All she wants is for people to treat her like a normal human being which is why she doesn't really like social interactions. Now I told you about Augustus who was reading "An Imperial Affection" from Hazel. Well he finished it an is now going crazy because it was not finished ( mostly because she either died or got too sick to finish). Besides that point Isaac got surgery and is now blind. Plus, his girlfriend dumped him because she couldn't handle the whole being blind thing. Hazel has some good news from Augustus about Peter Van receiving an email from Augustus(about his book and how he said he will not be writing anymore). Hazel decided to write Peter Van back about her questions on how the book ends and how she feels about him not writing anymore books. After that great message she calls Augustus and they talk for hours on the phone about the book, she also read him some poems. When they are about to end the call they keep saying okay back and forth so Augustus told her that "Okay will be our always". Always is what Isaac and his girlfriend use to say to each other.

*EXTRA INFO NOT IN BOOKS* The patronous are really cute because whomever is your true love is you share the same patronous or something that interacts with there animal for example James's patronous was a stag and Lily's was a doe. Ron's was a Jack Russel Terrior (who were originally used to catch otters) and Hermione's was an otter.

The book I am reading is the third book in the series Vampire Academy, Shadow Kiss. One of the main characters is Rose. She is paired with this other person named Lissa. Paired means Rose's feelings are disrupted with Lissa. This isn't something given or made its just a natural connection. Since Rose is paired with Lissa it is her responsibility to protect her. They go to a school especially for them because they are vampires but not the bloodsucking kind that most think about, but are categorized as moroi. In the book before another vampire named Victor Dashkov is part of the strigoi, the bad guys, and attempted to kill Lissa now it is his court hearing and they went to hear the verdict. I am eager to see what happens next

Okay so reading a book called The Game and it's really unusual and difficult to explain. I just finished it BUT IT ENDED ON A CLIFFHANGER AND I CANNOT FIND THE SEQUEL ANYWHERE!!! Stupid book... Anywho, the book is about a society that has created this "game" that children enter to learn about life lessons ect. The virtual world in this game is Earth which really boggles your mind and makes you stay up pondering on thought that maybe your just some avatar in a game that someone on some other planet is inhabiting. Creepy stuff man.

Reading "If I Stay" by Gayle Forman this week has kept me on the edge of my seat. Mia, the main character, is asking if herself whether or not she is dead as she stands staring at her lifeless body. Pretty soon the paramedics come to assess the car accident. The medics conclude that her parents were killed on impact. The medics rush over to Mia and work on her to keep her alive until the helicopter could airlift her to the hospital. Still Mia does not know what has happened to her little brother Teddy.

Over the week, I have finished the book The Scorch Trials, the sequel of the book The Maze Runner. In this book, the main characte and his friends are forced to crass the scorch, a large desert burned by horrible solar flares. To make matters worse, the scorch is filled with cranks, people infected by the neurological disease called the flare. The flare takes over your mind and slowly drives you insane

I just started the book I, Emma Freak, and so far it is about a girl named Emma. Emma feels like she dose not fit in, she is really tall, has red hair, and is extremely smart. Emma hates school. On her birth-day Emma's mom who is not a good mother got her a book so she could be home schooled. Her mom forgot to tell the school that Emma was being homeschooled so and the police came looking for Emma. When they found out that Emma thought she was being homeschooled they told her the librarian could teach her for the rest of the semester but then she had to go back to school.

I thought this book was sweet with some great lessons. I home schooled my kids, so I had to laugh at this mother! It wasn't quite that easy in real life. ha!

Doesn't it seem like there are lots of books based on fairy tales? It just seems like the thing to write the past few years. I wonder if this is a new thing or something that people have always done.

Zach and his friends,Poppy and Alice, play with dolls but suddenly tells them he can't play anymore without telling them his reasons which makes no sense to me. His father threw away his action figures who were the main important characters in their story and he got really upset. I mean, that wasn't really his fault, so, why he couldn't just come out and say it I don't get. He ended up acting like a jerk about it and they got upset with him. Poppy then makes a tempting proposal that if he came to play with them, she would bring the Queen of the story in person and she would give them the answers to all their problems. The Queen was a bone china doll that Poppy was forbidden to take out of its place on the shelf. As tempting as it was, Zach didn't come. He was, later that night around midnight, woken up by the girls who told him about their heart ranching discoveries 😱 about the doll.💗

I kind of thought the same thing about Zach when I was reading the book, but maybe he was just embarrassed of his father's behavior. It did seem like he made it a bigger deal than it had to be.

In the Ghost of Graylock, Neil, Weasley, Eric, and Bree all were on the front porch and talking when Eric said that maybe Neil just thinks he was thinking he saw stuff. Eric and Weasley left and Bree and Neil over heard the aunts talking about how it may not be a good idea to have the kids staying there.

The third book of the "Animorphs" series starts to get really interesting. This book is in Tobias' point of view, instead of being in Jake's point of view (but this sort of thing happens in nearly every book). Tobias is per antsy trapped as hawk from the first book, and he is starting to forget who he is. The hawk is taking over his mind. One day he found out a Yeerk ship that was collecting water from a lake and knew that he stop it. He told the other Animorphs about the ship and they all went to the lake to check it out. They almost ran out time, so they had to go back and come up with a plan b. They decided to go back the next weekend and sneak into the ship by morphing into fish and getting sucked up by the ship. Tobias was soon caught flying around the ship and Visser Three almost killed him. Luckily, Tobias and everyone else escaped unharmed and managed to crash the ship. We'll find out what happens next when I get another from the library.

In "The Fault in our stars" hazel doesn't want to fall for Augustus because she says she is a "grenade". Meaning she will blow up and hurt the people she loves. On the other hand hazel has a breakdown and is driven to the hospital because she had poor oxygen to the head/lungs in fluid(a liter and 1/2). This happened a day later when she found out Augustus was going to use his wish to take Hazel to Amsterdam so she could find out the ending of the book with her favorite author. A week later with some permission from her doctors Hazel, her mother and Augustus will all go to Amsterdam. Its time to go and Hazel and her mother are about to ring the doorbell at Augustaous house to tell him its time when they here an argument. "Because its my life mom! It belongs to me" meaning this could lead to more drama later on in the story. When they are on the plane to Amsterdam they find out that Augustus has never been on a plane which is funny because he is so exited. They will now begin their journey full of unexpected surprises.

The giver is starting to get interesting. I think that Jonas is given the special job to hold info that will change his view on his society. I don't really know but there society is giving me an odd feeling I think something's wrong. Also how controlling it is that just gives me the feeling that there hiding something. I think Jonas is going to realize there wrong doings.

I am reading A Orphan Child and this book is really hitting home emotionally. A little girl's abusive home life and such it is really upsetting. I am only a few pages into the book now but I feel that this book will definitely have me in tears because I really relate to her. I have no name for "her" yet and it is told from her perspective. It goes into how she was left an orphan and gah. It just has me all jumbled up with my "feels".

In my book The Legend of Drizzt, the characters Drizzts, Wulfgar, Cattie-Bree, Bruenor, and Bruenor's armies found and killed the orcs and giants who had been terrrorizing the villages along the plains. Afterwards, they searched for survivors but a group of orcs got away and told their masters about Drizzts and his friends which compelled them to prepare for war. While this happened Drizzt and Bruenor talked about bruenor's future as a stationary dwarf king of mithral hall.

My book "The Death Cure" is about a world burned by solar flares and ravaged by a horrible disease called the flare. What it does is slowly drive you insane. An organization called WICKED puts the rare immune people in trials to see what makes them different. Thomas is one of them. Apparently the trials are over, and WICKED has good intentions; but after Thomas has seen WICKED do, he wants to take them down

Beautiful Darkness is probably the worst sequel I've ever read. The first book I was excited to read because I saw the movie because I thought the movie was cute and the book would be even cuter. But it was painfully boring, it seemed to drag on for ages. I don't know what drove me to get the second book. The main character, Ethan, was SOO whiny and obsessed with Lena, who is a caster (which is basically a witch). Throughout the whole book he would just obsess and whine about how she was turning dark, when he didn't want her to. Even though casters and humans weren't allowed to be together, but he kept pushing it because he was idiotically in love with her. The worst part was Lena was horrible to him, she was all nasty and rude, but nooo he had to have her. The series is just horrible and annoying and ugh.

This week in "If I Stay" by Gayle Forman, Mia has arrived to the hospital and they send her into emergency surgery to stabilize her condition. After the doctors and nurses finish up they send her to the ICU (intensive care unit) so they can watch her to make sure nothing goes wrong. Pretty soon after that Mia's grandmother and grandfather show up as well as some of her other family members and her best friend Kim. Kim shows up furious and yelling at her mother saying that if she (Kim) wasn't crying then her mother shouldn't be to either. Kim storms off to go pray into the small chapel of the hospital where Mia (in her ghostly self) follows her.

The giver is a really good book and I think that it uses suspense really well because it the kind of book that you never want to put down because if you do then your left wondering what happens next. Almost every chapter it leaves you hanging. Also I am feeling that Jonas is going to end up changing the community. For example giving back color to all the people in his community. I predict that not all people will be happy that Jonas destroyed all the sameness and he will make enemy's. I think that Jonas will be strongly supported by the giver but not at first only after the giver realizes that what Jonas is doing is right.

The giver is really exciting me I think that it is so intriguing to be able to see how Jonas and his community live and how different it is compared to how we live. I am so happy that giver it a series because I am definitely gonna read all the other ones. I predict that Jonas is going to tell everyone about colors and all the memory's. I really hope we can finish the book soon so I can read the other ones and see what happens.

This week in "The Legend of Drizzt, Orc King" Drizzt fought King Obould and greatly wounded him, although the battle was a draw due to the mountain splitting beneath them. King Bruenor and his dwarves, the Felbarren dwarves, and the elves pushed the orcs from Mithral Hall and back into Oboulds growing kingdom of Many Arrows. Wulfgar's wife Delly ran from Mithral Hall with their sun Colson while possessed by Cattie-Bree's sword Khazid-Hea. Wulfgar ran after Delly and found her corpse among a large band of orcs. After engaging all of the orcs Wulfgar's life was saved by Drizzt when Drizzt miraculously appeared and ambushed the orcs. A clan of half Orc half Giants has emerged from the UnderDark.
